Housing For Speedometer Cable / Pinion On Transmission Mgb Mgbgt 1962-80 Non Ovd on 2040-parts.com
Dayton, Ohio, US
You are purchasing a good used original housing for the speedometer pinion gear and shaft for the 1962-80 MGB 4-speed (non overdrive) transmission.
While the pinion gears vary by year, the housing is the same for both the 3-syncho and 4-synchro MGB transmissions (non overdrive).
This bolts into the transmission and the speedometer cable threads onto it. The pinion gear and shaft fit in the other end.
It is common to find that the cable end threads have been cross-threaded. This one is good.
The threads were just checked with a new cable.
It has been cleaned and is exactly as pictured.
This is the housing with the inner seal only. We have the speedometer pinion gear and shaft for this available in another listing.
Always happy to combine shipping.
Please see our auctions and store for more NOS, new, used and one of a kind British parts.
