Howe precision ball joints offer the precision of a spherical bearing with the misalignment range of a ball joint.  They are easily rebuildable and adjustable. The alloy steel ball studs are process coated for low friction and long wear.  You can feel the difference in smooth travel and easy steering effort.

These are press-in style and cross reference Speedway part #91720038-1 and MOOG #K6117.

  1. These ball joint use a 1973-95 GM Truck taper, but they have a longer (taller) stud than the stock GM part. The taller stud changes the pivot point due to its length, which in turn raises the cars roll center. Very common ball joint on IMCA Modifieds.
  2. Lower ball joint fits most stut cars, 1971-1976 Impala and most wide-type dirt cars. Press-In.
  3. Fits most popular racing and passenger car spindles.

Hyundai to tone down ‘Fluidic Design’ for ‘Fluidic Precision’

Mon, 23 Jul 2012

Hyundai’s US boss, John Krafcik, has said that Hyundai will refine their ‘Fluidic Design’ in to something they’re calling ‘Fludic Precision’. The Hyundai Fluidic Design language was really the start of Hyundai’s move from Halford’s special to mainstream car maker. But the design language is starting to look a bit fussy and Hyundai are reacting to that by moving towards what they call ‘Fluidic Precision’ (there’s already a less fussy look about the new Santa Fe).

Keen to highlight the "snowball effect" of getting a drink-drive conviction, the campaign is hoping to register with individuals who need to be mobile for their profession, such as professional driving jobs, teachers, care workers and jobs in banks and finance.

Vauxhall Insignia VXR SuperSport gets a tweak for 2014

Fri, 30 Aug 2013

The Vauxhall Insignia VXR SuperSport (pictured) gets tweaked for 2014 If you want a swift and able car that costs under £30k, then the Vauxhall Insignia VXR SuperSport, as a hatch or Sports Tourer (estate) should be a car to consider. An now it’s had a tweak for 2014 to make it a bit more appealing in line with the tweaks to the rest of the Insignia range. The changes aren’t really enough to call this a facelift for the SuperSport, but despite the very minor cosmetic tweaks the changes under the skin are worthy of note.
