Hydraulic For Racing Clutches

At only 1.8 lbs. this Howe hydraulic throw out bearing is the lightest available. It is not made from a porous casting, but from tough billet aluminum. Compatible with most reduced diameter racing clutches including Quarter Master and Tilton. The unit installs by simply removing two of the bearing retainer bolts and replacing them with the provided studs. The optional remote bleeder kit (8289) allows for easy bleeding of the system outside of the bell housing. This throw out bearing will not work with a stock clutch or Ram coupler. Fully compressed, the unit is 2-3/8" thick and will need at least .060 working clearance. Fully extended it is 2-3/4" thick extended providing 3/8" throw.

Designed for racing purposes, not intended for highway use.

Works With:
Tilton and Quartermaster 7.25" & 5.5" clutches. Ram Assault Weapon 2 & 3 Disc 1996 & newer.
Notes:

Hydraulic throw out bearings are tapped for 1/8" pipe thread. Never use petroleum or mineral base fluids; only DOT3 or equivalent non-silicone brake fluid.

2014 Honda Civic LX recalled over tire issue

Tue, 01 Apr 2014

Honda is recalling 9,816 Civic LX sedans and coupes from the 2014 model year due to a potential tire issue. The problem concerns the mounting of the tires -- Honda believes the tire bead may have gotten pinched between the assembly equipment and the steel wheel rims, which in turn may have caused damage to the tire. This problem could potentially cause the tire to lose air, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.

California looks to tighten pollution limits

Thu, 26 Jan 2012

The California Air Resources Board is scheduled to vote on Thursday on whether to adopt stricter clean-air standards for the state proposed by the Advanced Clean Car program. The program's proposal combines the control of soot, smog-causing pollutants and greenhouse-gas emissions into a package that may be required for model years 2017 through 2025. According to the program, the rules aim to clean up conventionally powered cars, deliver more zero-emissions cars and ensure that a fueling infrastructure is available.
