This is an original radio from a Hudson car. I was told from a fellow ebayer that this was from a 1948/1949 Super or Commodore. The radio was made by Zenith as seen on the label underneath the cover. All of the tubes appear intact. I could not test it as it is a 6V radio and I do not have a 6V power supply. The chrome on the faceplate is nice considering it's age. One knob is missing. The tuning window is fogged and appears to be warped, maybe sun damage ? There is a sheetmetal cover that comes with. I am not sure if that even belongs to the radio. It was in the box when I picked it up. Fill that hole in your dash before you decide to get an ugly out of place aftermarket radio ! How is the chrome on your existing radio ? Swap your bezel if pitted ! Ask any questions if you have a need for this part. Flat rate shipping applies to USA only. Please note that I will not ship international. Thank you for looking and please keep those American classics running !

Natural-gas-powered Honda Civic can stay in California carpool lane
Mon, 11 Jul 2011Honda Civic GX drivers in California are smiling this week as they continue to have access to the high-occupancy-vehicle lane, even with just one person in the car. Even though one-occupant hybrid cars have lost access to the carpool lane, natural-gas-powered vehicles get to use it for another four years. Beginning on July 1, yellow-stickered partial hybrids were banned from HOV areas on the highways unless they carried the mandated number of people.
Chinese Grand Prix qualifying: Hamilton takes pole for Mercedes
Sat, 13 Apr 2013Lewis Hamilton has grabbed his first pole position for Mercedes for tomorrow’s Chinese Grand Prix, with team mate Nico Rosberg in fourth putting second place Kimi Raikkonen in the Lotus and third place Fernando Alonso in the Ferrari in a Mercedes sandwich. Felipe Massa takes fifth in the second Ferrari and Grosjean sixth in the second Lotus with the Toro Rosso of Ricciardo in seventh, but it’s behind that the things get more interesting, especially in a race context. Behind the leading seven are Jenson Button in the McLaren and Sebastian Vettel in the Red Bull, but both are on different strategies to the rest of the leaders and will start tomorrow’s race on the medium tyres they used for final qualifying instead of the soft tyres.
