Future products: Toyota lineup gets an 18-month makeover

Toyota plans to move into new product segments over the next 18 months, as well as redesign several mainstream models. Ferrari F1 driver Felipe Massa led a parade of 964 Ferraris to claim a new world record at Ferrari’s 2012 Racing Days at Silverstone. Ferrari Racing Days have been back at Silverstone this weekend, for the first time in 5 years, and to celebrate the occasion Ferrari has managed to claim a new world record for the number of Ferraris on track at any one time. When the last Ferrari Racing Days outing was at Silverstone, in 2007, Ferrari managed to garner 385 of Maranello’s finest to parade round Silverstone’s track for a new world record, but that record was broken later that year by Ferrari in Japan with 485 cars.

Belgian Grand Prix 2011 As always, Spa threw the weather in to the equation in qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix, with Button ending in 13th place on the grid after a rapidly drying track left the McLaren driver stranded in 13th place as others took advantage, despite being obviously quicker than most of the pack. Without the rain errors it could have been a McLaren front row, but Hamilton at least managed to show the McLarens were quick at Spa and joined Vettel on the front row with Webber in third and Massa fourth. But all the promise came to nothing for Hamilton as he reverted to type and drove like a petulant child – straight in to Kamui Kobayashi on lap thirteen – ending McLaren’s hopes of a win.
