The 493bhp Porsche Panamera Turbo is about to get even more powerful: Porsche has released details of a new range of upgrades available on the Panamera, including a £14k Powerkit pack. The Powerkit – as its name suggests – delivers an increase in power (and torque) over the standard car, and is exclusively available on the Panamera Turbo. The Panamera Turbo left us a little underwhelmed when we put it through its paces a year ago, chief issues being the packaging, styling and ergonomics.

Saab 9-3 EV prototype revealed by NEVS When National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) bought what was left after the debacle of bankruptcy, the plan was to create a range of electric cars using the Saab brand. But that hasn’t gone to plan, even though the first electric Saab 9-3 Prototype has now been revealed. In fact, Saab under NEVS has also come close to bankruptcy recently as an unpaid supplier took court action (although NEVS say that little local difficulty has been solved) and NEVS had to resort to building ICE engined Saabs to keep a few bob coming in.

FORD’S new Focus might have already seen the light of day, but now that the car has been given its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show the Blue Oval has released more details on its family favourite. Aside from the enhanced exterior design, key to the car’s revamp is a new suite of in-car electronics to keep you safe and entertained. The main attraction is a new version of the car maker’s Sync 2 telematics system boasting intelligent sat-nav, advanced voice control, integrated music player features and an intuitive colour touchscreen.
