The mighty Camaro is BACK! This classic American Icon has been re-styled and re-engineered for a better, sleeker, and more powerful than EVER sports muscle car. And while new Camaros were just hitting the dealership floors, Hurst had already developed a new Billet/Plus 2 shifter for both the V6 and V8 applications.

From concept through production of the 5th generation Camaro, GM engineers in both Australia and Detroit were in almost daily contact with Hurst engineers for guidance and design support. Stout Tremec TR-6060 and little brother, Aisin Warner AY6, transmissions were sent thousands of miles across the Pacific for testing and evaluation in conjunction with prototype shifters. Secretive track and laboratory testing including GM's brutal endurance tests were run to ensure that this Hurst Shifter was the best.

Made in the USA

Simple to install with classic Hurst stick and round ball combination, this is the MUST HAVE companion to your new muscle car.

Fewer people being killed in car-truck collisions, study finds

Wed, 28 Sep 2011

Death rates in crashes between big trucks and cars dropped 64 percent in 2008-09 compared with 2000-01, according to an insurance-industry study of government data. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety cited changes in vehicle design, particularly for SUVs and pickups, as a key factor in the decline. The number of deaths for car and minivan passengers involved in crashes with larger vehicles fell from 44 per million in 2000-01 to 16 deaths per million in 2008-09, the study found.

Lotus Exige S Roadster Official: Price (£52,800) and Specs

Wed, 22 May 2013

It’s the first properly good news from Lotus for a while, and looks a promising offering at the same price (£52,800) as the tin top Exige S and, remarkably for a convertible, actually weighing less than the hard top – although by only 10kg. The Exige S Roadster gets the same 3.5 litre V6 as the coupe which means 345bhp, 295lb/ft of torque and a 0-60mph of a very respectable 3.8 seconds, but it does lose the coupe’s rear wing and front splitter for better airflow. The folding roof on the Roadster is a manual affair, but Lotus say fresh air motoring is just ‘Two clicks and a roll away’, so the manual roof is probably the best – and lightest – option.

Bonkers KTM X-Bow GT with 435hp

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

KTM’s X-Bow is the Austrian firm’s answer to the Caterham Seven – a lightweight, two-seater track car that makes no sacrifices when it comes to luxuries. Which is why KTM added a bit more in the way of creature comforts (including a windscreen) for its more relaxed ‘GT’ model. And now German tuners Wimmer Rennsporttechnik have got their hands on the X-Bow GT, playing with the engine to turn up the heat… Please click on the image above to read more on the KTM X-Bow GT by Wimmer Rennsporttechnik…
