This V drive was removed from a 7.4L 454 Mercruiser engine with 287 original hours that the customer purchased bobtail. 

Good clean used V drive tested on the engine prior to removal.

This Hurth ZF HSW 630V marine V-Drive transmission has a gear ratio of 1.56:1 and has the 12 degree down angle. This V drive is for standard-rotation engines only (Left had counter clockwise looking at flywheel). It can be shifted to operate in either direction for forward (fully-reversing) to swing a left or right hand prop.

Nissan Patrol breaks obscure Guinness World Record

The Nissan Patrol, a cooler-looking version of the Infiniti QX80 with a Nissan front end, broke a Guinness World Record on Thursday at Sharjah International Airport in the UAE. The nearly 3-ton truck pulled a 170.9-ton cargo plane for more than 164 feet (50 meters), breaking the previous record for “Heaviest aircraft pulled by any production vehicle” by 15 tons. The previous record was attributed to the Volkswagen Touareg that pulled a Boeing 747 at 155 tons.

Mercedes and McLaren – the end of the road

The last SLR Stirling Moss ends the McLaren Mercedes relationship Times they are a changin’ for Mercedes & McLaren. The very last Mercedes McLaren SLR – The McLaren SLR Stirling Moss – has now rolled out of production at McLaren in Woking and both Mercedes and McLaren are going their seperate ways. McLaren is working to bring the new McLaren MP4-12C to market by 2011 as a replacement for the SLR, and Mercedes has already launched their replacement – the Mercedes SLS AMG Gulllwing – although it will be a few more months before cars hit the road.

The Audi A1 quattro snow testing in Canada It did seem a strange omission by Audi not to have a quattro drivetrain for the ‘Only Premium Brand in its Sector’ Audi A1. And it was that lack of a quattro system for the A1 which apparently stopped the car that ended up being the Audi A1 1.4 TFSI from being launched as the Audi S1 at Paris last year. All of which has no doubt spurred Audi on to see development of a quattro platform for the A1.
