Mitsubishi Evo X world premiere
Mon, 15 Oct 2007By Damion Smy Motor Shows 15 October 2007 02:48 What do you mean, world premiere? Yes, we weren’t quite sure either but the Australian International Motor Show was in fact the world premiere of the new Mitsubishi Evo X. No, not Frankfurt to build sales in the European markets, or Tokyo where the car is a Japanese legend, but Sydney.
Jaguar SUV/Crossover (C-X17) gets another outing with another new paint job
Thu, 16 Jan 2014Jaguar SUV/Crossover (C-X17) gets another outing – this time in Italian Racing Red The Jaguar SUV Crossover arrived at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year as a ‘Concept’, although it’s clear Jaguar has plans to make it a production reality. That was given more credence with a new version of the Jaguar SUV arriving at the Dubai Motor Show in November with an all new Liquid Metal paint job (that looked better than the debut car’s Jaguar Racing Blue car) and an outing for the C-X17 at the Guangzhou Motor Show with a gold paint job as Jaguar continued to garner feedback for their SUV/Crossover plans. Now Jaguar has arrived at the Brussels Motor Show with yet another colour take on the C-X17 – this time Italian Racing Red – although, as far as we can tell, there are no other changes to the C-X17 from the original car’s appearance.
VW Golf GTI priced from £25,845 in UK
Thu, 04 Apr 2013The new Mk7 VW Golf GTI is now on sale in the UK priced from £25,845. That's only a £195 rise over the old Mk6 Golf GTI, despite the extra power, performance, and a 2.2mpg improvement in economy. Hang on - nearly £26k for a VW Golf GTI is a bit steep, isn't it? Actually, it's better value than the old Mk6 Golf GTI. For a start, the new Mk7 Golf GTI's 29E insurance group rating is five groups lower than the old model's, so you should save on premium renewals as well as road tax and fuel fill-ups.
