U.S. Grand Prix (2013): RESULT
Mon, 18 Nov 2013U.S. Grand Prix (2013): RESULT Sebastian Vettel was motivated enough in qualifying to snatch pole position from team mate Mark Webber – for a Red Bull front row – but was he motivated enough, even with the drivers title already won, to take a win at the 2013 American Grand Prix in Austin, Texas? Oh, yes.
CAR tech: who's to blame for your car's terrible fuel economy?
Mon, 12 Aug 2013In early 2013 Audi lost a case brought by the Advertising Standard Agency (ASA) because of ‘misleading’ fuel economy figures used in an advert, after a customer complained they couldn’t get anywhere near the 68mpg quoted. The court case once more exposes the yawning gap between officially sanctioned mpg figures and those experienced by owners. A recent study by the Independent Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) looked at cars sold in the UK and Europe, and discovered the difference between official mpg figures and real-world driving had grown from 8% in 2001 to a barely believable 21% in 2011.
Ferrari 458 Italia – The Video
Wed, 29 Jul 2009The Interior of the new Ferrari 458 Italia But yesterday afternoon, shortly after we posted the news of the Ferrari 458 Italia – which originally had just four exterior pictures – we got sent a video of the interior. To be truthful it is almost certainly a rendering with no real car at all, but it is from Ferrari and is close as we’re going to get to the interior – or anything that moves – this side of the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. At least the video clip has a sound track, and whether or not it’s a real soundtrack from the track and the car – or something Ferrari has generated on their laptops – we don’t really care.
