Parting out, 1984 Ford 1900... 2-wheel drive, diesel tractor, S/N 909622, Engine # LEN853-29000... 3 cylinders, 1.3 liter, Model F-1900… When the tractor went down all other parts were working and in excellent shape with no problems. This diesel unit is complete and has low hours. Sheet metal parts are in very good condition with only surface paint blemishes… This tractor lost the oil, spun a bearing, and scored the crankshaft on #3 cylinders. Saab on the road to independence

Both swallowed up by big US car makers, and both now being abandoned in a vulnerable position after years of integrating their once independent products in to their parents infrastructure, they must wake up every day wondering if this is the day it all goes bang. Ford is simply trying (increasingly desperately) to off-load Volvo, but GM, which is in a much more precarious position than Ford, has now abandoned its Swedish child in a desperate attempt to appease Congress and survive.
Land Rover sending more Range Rover Evoques to the US

In the land where cubic inches are king and any SUV smaller than a Hummer isn’t really an SUV, it’s amazing that the dinky Range Rover Evoque is a hit – but it is. From sales of just 2,200 Evoques in 2011, Land Rover has managed to shift twice that in the first six months of 2012, and Land Rover dealers are still complaining they can’t get enough Evoques to meet demand.
Transportation secretary Ray LaHood to step down

LaHood, a former Republican congressman from Illinois, has led the Department of Transportation since 2009. He announced his departure today on the agency's website.
