Spyker Supercar & Spyker ’911′ at Geneva 2013
Wed, 06 Feb 2013It seems that Victor Muller is planning not just a Spyker ’911′ for Geneva, but a Spyker ‘Supercar’ with oodles of power too. We discovered last year that Victor Muller has picked up the reins at Spyker once more, dragged in some investment from China and was working on the return of the Spyker D8 Peking-Paris super SUV (that started life as the D12). BMW Concept Active Tourer [w/Gallery]
Fri, 14 Sep 2012BMW will be presenting its new concept, the BMW Concept Active Tourer, at this month's Paris motor show as part of the ongoing development of the BMW brand and its model range. With a length of 4,350 mm, a width of 1,834mm and a height of 1,560mm, the wedge-shaped BMW Concept Active Tourer targets the premium market along with families, and because of the car's long wheelbase of 2,670mm and a high roofline it allows for a spacious interior. The car's front face features the signature front-tilted BMW radiator grille and wraparound headlamps with two large air inlets underneath, designed to emphasize the car's width.
Jaguar/Land Rover Virtual Reality Center
Tue, 01 Jul 2008Jaguar Land Rover has opened a new 'Virtual Reality Center' at the Design and Engineering Center in Gaydon, UK. The 'state-of-the-art' design facility draws on advanced audio visual technologies with the projection power of the world's highest resolution projectors to significantly speed up product development cycles following an investment of £2 million. The new Virtual Reality Center allows engineers and designers to see and interact with life-size, three-dimensional models of vehicles and components, reducing the need for physical prototypes.
