The M73 features 6 Watts of high transmit power and waterproof IPX8 Submersible construction. The M73 also promotes the popular hourglass body shape and comfortable side grips for intuitive one-handed operation.
The M73 also features loud 700mW audio output and approximately 18 hours of operating time. Utilizing an interface design with large directional buttons, users gain fast access to menu items and radio functions. Though it may seem odd that the award is presented by the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology (DIO) - an internationally-recognized non-profit organization known for helping the blind and visually-impaired - it has since grown to become one of the most prestigious automotive design award ceremonies to date.
