Icon 1000 Elsinore Leather Street Boots Johnny Black |
|
Inspired by classic motocross boots, the Elsinore asks its shorter competitors if they've brought enough skin to the fight. 12" of top grain leather upper bets they didn't. And this isn't the type of fight for which you show up unprepared. The Elsinore's four strap alloy buckle chassis, stamped metal heel plate, and internal steel shank combine for a serious dose of moto-x homage. The traditional Goodyear welt construction mates the Icon street specific sole to the magnificent leather upper. A zippered medial entry zipper, borrowed from Paratrooper jump boots, is the only luxury the Elsinore will allow itself. A modern relic from an era when men were iron and tanks were steel, the Elsinore, Old-school MX reinterpreted for the urban sprawl.

- ICON Cast Metal Buckles

Bugatti is giving a glimpse of its future beyond the Veyron with this W16-powered four-seat limousine. Like its two-seat stablemate, the 16C Galibier aims to be the ultimate: the fastest, most powerful, most elegant and expensive car in the world. Officially it’s a concept car, but Bugatti has started showing the Galibier to customers; if sufficient open up their Swiss accounts, expect the green light in spring 2010 with sales beginning within three years.

Aston Martin V12 Zagato - we still prefer our photo of the V12 Zagato at Villa d'Este! It seems it’s not just us who think the Aston Martin V12 Zagato a stunner. But then, we never thought it would be.
