Nissan LEAF EV sales top 50,000

Sun, 17 Feb 2013

Nissan has revealed that sales of the electric LEAF have now topped 50,000 units since the LEAF went on sale in 2010. We’re not fans of the electric car as a replacement for the ICE car, but some electric cars can give a fair impression (at a a price) of a traditional family car, and the Nissan LEAF probably does it better than any other electric car. The 'Baby' McLaren - expected on sale in 2012 When Ron Dennis left McLaren F1 recently, he said he wasn’t putting his feet up, but had so many other things to do within McLaren that he’d be busier than ever. We’ve brought various bits of information about the McLaren P11 – the F430 / LP560 size car – recently, a project that will certainly keep Ron busy, but there’s more information coming out on the new ‘Baby’ McLaren today. Auto Express is reporting that the new baby McLaren is well on the way, and even supplied the rendering we have here.

Ford eases V6 Mustang around Bristol track for 1,457 laps

Thu, 24 Jun 2010

As you may have expected, the team at Ford was able to run a V6-powered 2011 Mustang for at least 1,000 laps on the half-mile Bristol Motor Speedway track on Wednesday before running out of gasoline. In fact, the Mustang lapped Bristol 1,457 times before its 16-gallon fuel tank ran dry. The run was part of a marketing push touting the 31-mpg highway rating for the 2011 Mustang V6 and its six-speed automatic transmission.
