How It Works.
A small amount of fluorescent dye is added to a vehicles A/C system and allowed to circulate.
The dye escapes with the system's refrigerant and remains at all leak sites. When the system is scanned with a Ultraviolet or UV/Blue light inspection lamp, the dye floresces a brilliant yellow-green to pinpoint the exact source of every leak.
To check repairs, the residual dye is removed from the leak site with a degreaser. Run the system to re-inspect the repair sites for additional leaks. No glow means all the leaks are repaired

Citroen DS3 Cabrio to get Top Gear Live UK debut

Just as Fiat has with the 500, Citroen has given the DS3 Cabrio a folding roof that keeps pillars and roof rails in place so the DS3 Cabrio looks just like the regular DS3 with the roof up, saving weight and costs and keeping the very good looks of the DS3 intact. The DS3 Cabrio is due to go on sale in early 2013 – just in time for first customer deliveries in the spring – but ahead of the UK arrival of the Cabrio you can see Citroen’s appealing drop top at this year’s Top Gear Live shows.
Interior Motives China Conference 2010: Day 1
Thu, 22 Apr 2010Despite Europe being grounded due to volcanic ash, the third Interior Motives China conference got underway in Beijing with a record number of delegates and speakers – proof, as if it were needed, that this event is now one of the most important in the global car design calendar. This year's theme was 'New brands and the search for a design identity', and among the audience were young Chinese designers keen to learn more about international car design techniques, as well as veteran western designers hoping to gain a deeper understanding of the market they are creating vehicles for. Session 1: The Market for Design Edward Wong, Director of Transportation Design at China Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), set the mood for the conference in his long, flowing 'Chang San' robe (very traditional Chinese attire). He opened the conference and invited panellists to share their views on what China's needs are and explore what makes the market so unique.
