It isn’t exactly a car per se, but it has wheels, a motor, and it is a valid alternative to walking. It even has its own ‘trim’ levels – ‘S’, ‘M’ and ‘L’ (from left to right in our pictures). These range from ‘practical’ (with the long handle) to ‘hands-free sporty’.
Volkswagen iBeetle takes iPhone integration to another level

Which is why Volkswagen has rolled out the iBeetle at this week’s Shanghai Motor Show with a level of integration with Smartphones from Apple, and that previews a roll-out of Apple integration from VW, offering far more functionality and control than we’ve seen before. Or at least that’s the VW claim.

Now there’s one less bit of red tape for all fictional and real James Bonds, as spies are to be given a "licence to speed" for the first time, under changes to motoring laws. Currently, officers in MI5 and MI6 have to abide by the rules of the road even when national security is under threat.
