Video: Road & Track presents The Five Minute Car Design with Tom Matano
Mon, 30 Jul 2012Tom Matano β designer of the Mazda MX-5 and executive director of industrial design at Academy of Art University β is the subject of Road & Track's second βThe Five Minute Car Design' video feature. The R&T crew headed to Matano's design studio and asked him to create his ideal sedan in just five minutes before destroying it at the end of the film. This latest video is the second in the series, which started with Ian Cartabiano from Calty Design in California design and destroy his ultimate sports car.
Los Angeles, Miami on 2014 Formula E schedule
Fri, 08 Mar 2013Today Formula E, the open-wheel world championship for electric cars sanctioned by the FIA, released a preliminary list of eight cities across the globe where races will be held: London, Rome, Los Angeles, Miami, Beijing, Putrajaya (Malaysia), Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro. Rome and Rio de Janeiro had been announced earlier, but the rest of the cities are new to the schedule. All courses will be run on city streets in downtown locations accessible to public transportation, according to a release by Formula E Holdings, the organization putting on the series.
