This USB Interface by Grom Audio is a state of the art product that allows you to directly connect your USB thumb drive through the auxiliary input port (normally used for CD Changers and/or satellite radio) of your factory radio. (See more details below.) The cable that connects to your USB drive is 6 feet long, so you'll have plenty of routing options.

Unlike competitor's products, this includes an auxiliary input port that utilizes either a 3.5mm auxiliary input cable OR the C-BTD Bluetooth Extension Dongle Kit. (The port on the interface has a proprietary connection so you must use the Grom components indicated here if you wish to add one of these options.) With the Aux input cable you can connect any device that has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack and listen to audio from that device over the radio.  If you want to add the Aux cable, it is item GA35CBL in one of our other eBay listings.  OR, with the Bluetooth version of this kit, you can connect a Bluetooth enabled cell phone that supports HFP (Hands Free Profiles) and listen to the conversation over your car speakers, while speaking through the microphone that comes with the kit. You can also use it to stream music from your phone wirelessly if your phone supports A2DP. What's more, you can control the music on your phone from your radio and/or steering wheel controls using AVRCP wireless audio controls, provided your phone supports it.   The Bluetooth version of this kit is available in one of our other eBay listings.  (Click on the 'See other items' link in this ad to find it.)

If you have an Android phone or tablet, you can use this interface to play music from it through the car radio. Song title, artist and album will display on the radio. You will also have some limited controls from the radio and/or the steering wheel controls. In addition, it will charge the device. You will have to download the free AALinQ App from the Google Play App Market to utilize this feature. You will also need a USB cable to connect the phone to the interface. PLEASE NOTE: this is for playback of music only. Calling features require the optional Bluetooth dongle. We HIGHLY recommend you visit the manufacturer's website if you have questions regarding the Android interface features.

If you purchase the optional C-IPD2 iPod cable for this device, you can charge, listen to and control some iPod functions through the radio. There is a dedicated port for the iPod cable on the interface, so you can have the iPod and USB connected at the same time. The iPod cable has a proprietary Grom connector on the end that plugs in the interface, so you do need to use the Grom cable if you wish to add iPod functionality. We recommend you contact tech support for the manufacturer or visit the gromaudio website to determine exactly how it's going to function in your vehicle with your options.

This product works in remote CD Changer mode. If you have remote CD changer control capability, you can use this product but your remote CD changer (separate from the radio) would have to be disconnected, if so equipped. This is NOT compatible with radios that are satellite capable. Most satellite capable radios have SAT or CAT printed on a button or on the face. Please see the Application List in this ad for additional information on compatibility. Further, we recommend you contact tech support for the manufacturer or visit the gromaudio website for more information.

You may have to follow certain naming conventions for folders and tracks you place on the USB drive in order for them to be recognized properly. We recommend you visit the GromAudio website or contact their tech support if you have additional questions about capabilities and functionality. We're an authorized retailer but they're the manufacturer, so they're in the best position to advertise capabilities and functionality. This works with many 1999 and newer Infiniti applications from the following list. However, it is NOT compatible if you have a satellite capable radio. If your radio has a CAT or SAT button it is satellite capable. A few other radios are as well. Please read the notes after your application BEFORE purchasing because returns are not accepted for items that have been unwrapped and/or installed.
