Special care was taken to build redundancy into the power distribution system to increase overall reliability. AEM's Universal Core & Accessory Wiring Harnesses simplify the installation of an Infinity ECU on any Ford or Chevy/GM application with an Infinity-supported crank/cam timing configuration (please visit the Infinity Supported Applications page for a list of supported cam & crank timing strategies). The Universal Core Harness combines injector sub harnesses and idle motor harnesses for Ford and GM with ignition timing sub harnesses for every type of MAG and Hall Effect timing configuration, allowing racers to get an Infinity-tuned racecar wired quickly and accurately. An ignition adapter harness for AEM's Single Channel Coil Driver is also available for trigger an inductive coil directly or a single-channel capacitive discharge ignition (CDI).

This is the BMW i3 Concept, a near-production preview of Munich’s new urban vehicle. Previously known as the Megacity Vehicle (MCV), it’s an all-electric carbonfibre and aluminium car that BMW will sell from 2013 as part of its new ‘i’ range – the i8 supercar has also been unveiled today. Both the BMW i3 and i8 concepts will be revealed at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show in September.

Ford has unveiled two new hybrid vehicles at the 2011 Detroit motor show, the plug-in hybrid C-Max Energi, and the C-Max Hybrid. Both are based on the five-seat Ford C-Max, and the pair go on sale in North America in 2012, while European sales follow in 2013. Both the Ford C-Max Hybrid and Ford C-Max Energi use an Atkinson-cycle (like the Prius) 2.0-litre petrol engine and lithium-ion batteries.
