College Exhibition: IAAD - 'Italian Sportivity: The New Generation'
Fri, 19 Aug 2005Demonstrating the development of new concepts for Alfa Romeo and Ducati, the Automobile Museum of Turin, Italy, has been hosting an exhibition entitled 'Italian Sportivity: The New Generation'. The work was produced by Transport Design students from Turin's Institute of Applied Arts and Design (IAAD). Working with designers from both companies, IAAD students were given a pair of options to chose from: two wheels or four; Ducati or Alfa Romeo.
Ecurie Ecosse racing car collection sells for £8.8 million

Established in 1952 by Edinburgh racing driver and businessman David Murray and mechanic Wilkie Wilkinson, this racing team is famous for two things – its stunning Flag Blue Metallic paint scheme and winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In fact, Ecurie Ecosse won Le Mans twice – back-to-back in 1956 and 1957, securing two of the three victories there for Jaguar’s D-Type.

GM bosses bill the H3T Weekend Warrior, the H3 X and the H3 Alpha concepts as the last word in Hummer-ness. Let’s hope they’re serious about the ‘last’ bit… Perhaps.
