Volvo S60 (2010): more details, photos, video
Tue, 09 Feb 2010Volvo is pitching the new S60 saloon as a far sportier drive than the old model, which ceased production a full year ago. The 2010-spec Volvo S60 remains a four-door saloon, although the Swedes are at pains to point out its coupéness, with a sweptback C-pillar and plunging roofline. It looks slippery and the drag coefficient stands at 0.28.If the company’s claims are anything to go by, the S60 could dramatically move the needle on our perceptions of the Volvo brand.
Lexus GS
Fri, 19 Aug 2011Lexus has unveiled the all-new GS sedan at this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. It is the fourth generation of the company's mid-size offering - the first generation was initially designed by Giugiaro in 1990. Lexus says the new car brings ‘a more engaging driving experience, bolder design and a more spacious, contemporary interior'.
Vauxhall Vectra renamed as Insignia
Mon, 03 Dec 2007By Motor Industry 03 December 2007 09:46 Vauxhall has renamed its Vectra replacement, and like we all thought, it's going to be called Insignia. According to Vauxhall the Insignia name represents 'a new name for a new era', and we'll see if Vauxhall is telling the truth when the covers come off the new car at the British Motor Show in July 2008. It's a big claim for Vauxhall, but the teaser shot (above right) shows that at least Vauxhall seems to have gotten the design of the Insignia right.
