New ‘E10’ fuel could cost drivers £billions
Fri, 07 Feb 2014A Government proposal to implement a new type of petrol fuel called ‘E10’ has been met with outrage, with consumer car publication What Car? branding the plans as “irresponsible.” E10 petrol could potentially cost UK drivers billions of pounds each year, as the new fuel is less efficient and more polluting than the current blend of petrol used in the UK. Land Rover Defender reprieved
Fri, 21 Oct 2011Land Rover Defender reprieved until 2017 - and maybe beyond It’s the news that all die-hard Land Rover Defender fans – and there are still plenty of them – wanted to hear; the current Defender has won a reprieve until at least 2017. It had originally been thought that the iconic (that word again, but it’s justified in the Defender’s case) Landie would be forced in to the annuls of motoring history by Euro emissions rules. But thanks to plans to endow the current Defender with a version of JLR’s 2.2 litre diesel, it now means that the Defender as we know it can keep on trucking until at least 2017 with its new, Euro5 compliant engine.
Jaguar Project 7 F-Type is the Special Operations Goodwood reveal
Tue, 24 Jun 2014The Jaguar F-Type Project 7 revealed ahead of Goodwood FoS There were very few dissenting voices when Jaguar revealed their Project 7 F-Type Roadster Concept, homage to Jaguar’s D-Type, and it seems the almost universal approval of Jaguar’s creation has persuaded JLR that a production version of the Project 7 should be Jaguar’s first Special Operations division production car. And here it is. Due to be revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this week, the Jaguar F-Type Project 7 is a limited run, more powerful, more dynamic and more extreme version of Jaguar’s regular F-Type Roadster.
