Porsche to add 1,000 employees

To keep pace with its planned model expansion and sales targets, Porsche AG will add more than 1,000 employees by 2015, Automotive News Europe has learned from Volkswagen Group sources. About 500 jobs will be added for production of Porsche's new compact SUV, codenamed the Cajun, which will go on sale in 2013 in Europe and in North America about six months later. Porsche's supervisory board will make a decision on the production location of the Cajun in mid-March.

Faurecia Pin-spiration calls for premium pinboards

Faurecia has launched its ‘Faurecia Pin-spiration' contest, with a brand new 64GB iPad up for grabs. Tier supplier Faurecia is using online sharing community Pinterest to host a new competition to create a pinboard named ‘Faurecia Pin-spiration' – categorized under ‘Cars and Motorcycles' – and filled with things that reflect the meaning of ‘premium’ that could also be used in automotive design. Audi TT SUV concept: official sketches

Audi is set to reveal an all-new SUV concept car based on the Audi TT at the Beijing Motor Show. The new Audi concept will be the second time the brand has floated the idea of a TT-style SUV this year, following the unveiling of the Audi Allroad Shooting Brake show car at January’s Detroit Motor Show. The new Audi SUV concept will have more of an ‘off-roader’ feel than the Shooting Brake, and so will take its styling cues from the Audi Q-model SUVs, as these images show.
