Decent condition with no corrosion or pitting on chrome. From dry New Mexico
Brand:GM Warranty:No Manufacturer Part Number:9711616 Country/Region of Manufacture:United States

This is a OEM inside Mirror Base off of a 1967 Cadillac.  From what I can find on the internet this same GM base was used on Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac and Oldsmobile, the number on it is 9711616.  It may have been used for multiple years.  Since this information is off of the internet please check your application.  This is out of dry storage in dry New Mexico, there is no corrosion on this that I can see and the chrome is bright shiny and reflective.  It is used and has been around 49 years old so it does have some expected minor shop wear small scratches, nothing major or that will effect use.  The camera flash washout and reflective surfaces makes imperfections hard to see in the pictures so please look closely at the photos. This belongs to a friend and is from his fathers estate.  It was in a box marked 67 white cad.  His father had 1967 and 1968 Cadillac's.  He just needs to pass it on to someone who can use it so NO RESERVE sold as is.  Buyer pays actual shipping cost with no handling charges and I will combine shipping when possible.  Please email any questions or comments.  Thanks for looking.

Honda P-NUT Concept at LA

Thu, 03 Dec 2009

The Honda P-NUT at the LA Motor Show This is another of those ‘Lets see what we can make’ type concepts with probably precious little chance of being made. But the Honda ‘Personal-Neo Urban Transport’ – or Honda P-NUT – does make for an interesting micro city car concept. The P-NUT is a three-seat (which sounds great in principle, but all 3-seat cars – McLaren F1 included – are a pain for the driver to get in and out) concept with masses of angular lines and glass, designed to be offered with one of three powertrains – a petrol, petrol-electric hybrid or pure EV.

Electric paint that lights up!

Fri, 15 Nov 2013

Walking through the lobby between the North and Central Halls at SEMA we saw a more or less standard customized motorcycle. Then we saw it light up! Not with a light shining on it, and not with neon lights shining under it.

Interior Motives China Conference 2010: Day 1

Thu, 22 Apr 2010

Despite Europe being grounded due to volcanic ash, the third Interior Motives China conference got underway in Beijing with a record number of delegates and speakers – proof, as if it were needed, that this event is now one of the most important in the global car design calendar. This year's theme was 'New brands and the search for a design identity', and among the audience were young Chinese designers keen to learn more about international car design techniques, as well as veteran western designers hoping to gain a deeper understanding of the market they are creating vehicles for.  Session 1: The Market for Design Edward Wong, Director of Transportation Design at China Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), set the mood for the conference in his long, flowing 'Chang San' robe (very traditional Chinese attire). He opened the conference and invited panellists to share their views on what China's needs are and explore what makes the market so unique.
