 Description
  • Complete Name: Intellitec Controllers
  • Brief Information: Water Pump Controller
  • Complete Overview: Intellitec's Water Pump Controller, first in the family of MONOPLEX™ devices, offers the following benefits to water pump switching.
    • Minimizes the use of heavy gauge wire runs throughout the coach. Only two 14 gauge wires need to be run from the power source to the pump.
    • Multipoint switching can be added anywhere along the network using simple wiring.
    • Signaling from multiple points along the single wire MONOPLEX™ can be easily accomplished with inexpensive switches providing momentary contact to ground.
    • Simplified switches (momentary buttons) increase reliability.
    • Negligible standby current makes this system superior to conventional multipoint relay switching.
    • Labor and initial installation costs are reduced compared to multipoint switching using conventional switching.
The MONOPLEX™ Water Pump Controller is designed to operate as a "low side", remote switch in 12 volt DC systems. As it's name implies, it was designed to control the domestic water pump. It's use, however, is not limited to that. It can also be used to control a variety of other loads such as lighting, other pumps, fans, etc., when it is convenient to switch the ground side. The unit is packaged in a plastic enclosure for mounting near the water pump with two flathead screws. It is capable of operating multiple switch points (as many as desired) and up to two LED power indicators may be utilized all on the same single wire. Power can be supplied from either the battery or converter and the controller is reverse polarity protected.

Cadillac CTS (2007): first official pictures

Tue, 09 Jan 2007

By Ben Oliver First Official Pictures 09 January 2007 04:39 New CTS: no mistaking this for anything other than a Cadillac The all-new CTS compact exec saloon is Caddy's big news from the Detroit show, and they were never going to muck about with a distinctive design direction that has won them praise and younger customers since it began in 2001. The new CTS exaggerates it further with yet-more vertical lamps and grille, plus plenty of bling, using chrome for the air vents, window surrounds, the three-inch exhaust tips and 18-inch rims. No high-performance V version of the new car has been announced yet, but until it arrives the range will be led by a new direct-injection, 3.6-litre V6 with variable valve timing putting out 300bhp and 270lb ft.

Opel Ampera preview

Tue, 27 Jan 2009

Opel has released a teaser sketch of its new five-door extended-range electric car ahead of its public debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March. Based on the Voltec powertrain and chassis architecture of Chevrolet's Volt, the Ampera promises to surpass that car in terms of style by some margin. The body appears to be nearly identical between the A- and C-pillars, but the deformed horseshoe-shaped headlamp design and two-bar grille come straight from the 2007 Flextreme concept, as do the car's tree-branch alloy wheels.
