This is the only Scout book you'll ever need. Veteran journalist and four-wheel drive historian Jim Allen and recognized collector and Scout expert John Glancy built the most in-depth book about Scout trucks on the market. The book includes details about all your favorite Scout models from the very first to the last one to leave the factory and some the public never saw. With never-before-seen images and new details about the Scout that will surprise even the most dedicated enthusiast, the Scout Encylopedia is a must-have for any fan of vintage four-wheel drive rigs or International Harvester.
Jim Allen has been a soldier, a sailor, an auto technician, an off-road driving instructor, a farmer and a writer/photographer. Some of those things all at once. For the past 24 years, he has been writing for magazines and writing books. This will be book 12, if you count second editions. Jim thought he knew a fair bit about Scouts when he started this project but soon learned differently and happily trudged up the Scout history learning curve. John Glancy comes from an IH family dating back to the 1940s He even has International Harvester listed on his birth certificate as his fathers employer. He has been an International Harvester Truck Parts salesman, later owner of an IH Scout Light truck parts business that was purchased from Navistar, producer and founder of the IH Scout & Light Truck Nationals show and swap meet, has been on the National board of directors of the International Harvester Collectors Club and was its first Webmaster. John has worked with Jim Allen in the past assisting with many magazine articles and this will be his first book.

Yesterday General Motors unveiled its new full-sized pickup trucks, the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra. It was a big day for me -- like Christmas for an 8-year-old: People who know me know what a Silverado slappy I am. Given that the trucks are the first new GM full-size pickups in years, and since CEO Dan Akerson called it the “biggest launch in probably decades,” clearly it's a big deal for them too.

The entry-level Infiniti G25 - thankfully just for the USA
Well, we had what Infiniti called a ‘Performance’ debut at Pebble Beach with the first of Infiniti’s answers to the AMG and M Series in the Infiniti IPL G Coupe, and now we get the more prosaic debut – the Infiniti G25 with a 2.5 litre V6. The entry level G Range saloon gets a modest 218 horses and 187lb’ft of torque, a seven speed auto and will come in a choice of rear wheel drive or all wheel drive and, as far as we can see, you won’t be able to opt for a manual. Infiniti say that the G25 is for those who want an Infiniti G but who don’t want the power of the G37.

Toyota has upgraded the spec on the Toyota Yaris TR
The changes to the new Toyota Yaris TR move it up the range towards the T-Spirit. There are ten Yaris TR models in the range (prices and detail at the bottom) and all get an upgraded spec. The Toyota Yaris TR now gets 15″ Eught-Spoke Alloys (just like the T-Spirit), AirCon, electric windows and mirrors, 6-speaker sound system (just 4 on the 1.0 VVTi), leather wheel with audio controls, leather gear shift trim and adjustable steering wheel.
