Iperformance Header Flange for 1996-1998 GM/Chevrolet Quad Four, LD9 Twin Cam.

3/8 inch thick mild steel header flange.  Perfect for building your own header or turbo manifold.  These are the same flanges used in the Iperformance headers.

About This Product

  • CAD computer designed.
  • Waterjet cut.
  • 3/8 inch thick Mild Steel.
  • Exhaust ports measure 1.75 inches x 1.33 inches, and were intended to be used with 1 1/2 inch primary pipes, assembled by forming the end of the pipe to match the flange shape and sliding the pipe into the flange.
  • The EGR valve passage has been cut into the flange.  Completion of this passage is accomplished by welding a 14 gauge or thicker plate flush with the outer surface of the flange and notching the primary pipe to feed the EGR passage, just as the design of the original manifold.
  • This item has been wiped with a zinc-phosphate rust prevention solution, and should be grit blasted prior to welding to prevent odor and ensure good weld penetration.

Does this fit other cars or other engines?

We designed this flange specifically for use on the 1996-1998 Chevrolet Cavalier and Pontiac Sunfire with the Quad Four engine.  We obtained a manifold from one of these vehicles for the pattern for our drawing.  We do not have a cross reference list of other vehicles which use this same engine, please consult an expert on GM engines to confirm that this flange matches other applications.

The photo in this auction listing is a photo of the item and can be used for comparison to verify which engines this item fits.

Peugeot Exalt concept to bring shark skin suit to Beijing

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

Peugeot has 'accidentally' leaked an image of its Exalt concept car ahead of its debut at the Beijing auto show next Sunday. The four-door sedan follows the form language introduced by the 2010 SR1 concept, but is perhaps most closely related to the Onyx of 2012 in terms of execution if not format. As with the Onyx, the Exalt features a series of innovative, natural materials – something PSA design director Jean-Pierre Ploué confirmed to Car Design News would become a Peugeot hallmark – including an exterior surface finish inspired by shark skin.

Got a Toyota? Get a cheap garage door Life has not been a bed of roses for Totota owners just lately with the Toyota Recall in full swing round the globe. They’ve suffered the indignity of having to swap the smugness many had about the real world reliability of their chosen transport tosuffering not just the worry of whether their own Toyota has a potentially lethal fault, but the severe mickey-taking of non-Toyota owners.
