Mercedes S65 AMG Coupe (2014) - the 621bhp Mega Merc

By John Mahoney First Official Pictures 14 July 2014 11:50 We’ve already driven the mighty 577bhp S63 AMG Coupe but now Mercedes has unveiled its flagship S65 AMG Coupe. Powered by a 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12, the S65 AMG produces 621bhp – 44bhp more than the S63 and 38bhp more than the Mercedes SLS supercar. This makes it, along with the S65 AMG saloon that shares its engine, the most powerful Mercedes road car of all time.

New Audi RS6 to get 572bhp V8

The 2013 Audi RS6 looks set to swap its V10 for the new Audi V8 with the wick turned up to 572bhp – the same as the old V10. Most of the new A6 range has now arrived in showrooms – including the S6 and Avant – but what’s still missing is a new RS6, the Audi that used to have the heart of a Lamborghini. But as we reported in April, the 2013 RS6 is well on the way but it will be losing its Lamborghini V10 with its 5.2 litres and 572bhp and will instead get the Audi/Bentley twin-turbo 4.0 litre V8.

Jaguar F-Type Coupe ‘Lightweight’ Club Sport plotted

We’ve already seen the Jaguar Project 7 F-Type with a hefty dose of DNA from the D-Type – even if that was billed as a one-off – but it now seems Jaguar are looking for a limited production run of a lightweight F-Type – perhaps the Jaguar F-Type Club Sport. Motoring in Australia managed to bend the ear of F-Type Production Director Russ Varney, who had some interesting speculation to add fuel to the fire over the rumours of a more focused F-Type Coupe.
