"BEEP BEEP" is a limited edition fine art print from the original watercolor painting by artist Michael Irvine. It is from an edition of only 800 prints, and is signed and numbered by the artist. The print is truly beautiful, and is filled with the detail, vibrant color and reflections that the artist's work is known for. The image measures 20 x 32" and is printed on high-quality acid-free stock measuring 36" x 24". As a full line dealer for the artist, I purchase prints directly from him. They have been stored flat and have never been framed. It comes with a signed & numbered Certificate of Authenticity from the artist. Finding inspiration, as Plymouth did in 1968, from one of the most wildly popular cartoons of our generation, Michael chose America's southwest Monument Valley as the backdrop for featuring these powerful muscle cars. The painting actually mirrors the creative process that began the cartoon in 1949. "We thought it would be funny to do a parody of the chase cartoons", said Warner Bros. animator, Chuck Jones. The car and cartoon's rich history were elemental in Michael's decision to set the cars against a backdrop reminiscent of the cartoon itself. The artist states "I wanted to create a piece that was a fusion of the machine with the iconic location of the cartoon character it was named for. I chose to replace the animated Road Runner, with Plymouth's version - putting real cars in an environment based on the imagonery setting of the cartoon. So, along with the color scheme, I incorporated the monument landscape, 'ribboned' highway and vanishing horizon line, along with some fun elements, like bird seed and dynamite" This is one of many Irvine prints that I will be listing, so you may want to bookmark me and check back often.

Saab 9-4X Revealed
Mon, 18 Oct 2010Saab 9-4X Revealed It’s nice to see that Saab are getting back to being a maker of cars rather than a pawn of GM, and the reveal this afternoon of the Saab 9-4X marks the second new model in 2010 for Saab, even though both the Saab 9-5 and the Saab 9-4X have been on the horizon for what seems like forever. And, of course, after years (buried) under the GM umbrella Saab’s products are going to be GM based, at least for now. So what we have with the Saab 904X is a Saab-ised Cadillac SRX, but that’s not too bad a thing.
