Built by Island Torque Converters about 5 years ago for me. It fits small block or 429-460 Ford C6. 9" high stall steel plates front And back for nitrous, fully tigged internals for max. strength. It was specifically built as loose as was safe to prevent fluid shear under high torque. I was advised max. stall to be about 4700 RPM. I made 3 runs with a medium build 302 @ high altitude in an RX7 and would only stall @ 3600 for me, so I went back to my 8".
This is a super strong converter that will take anything, be it pro-mod or monster truck, or just a strong street machine. It cost me $1200 and I supplied the front plate! |
