This is a J1772 50 amp plug (Dostar: V3-DSS-50P) wired for EVSE connection, with 15 feet of 40 amp, 1/2 inch, flexible, 7 conductor, cable.

This cable can be used for any standard 4-wire connection, but provides an additional 18 gauge wire to power enhanced features such as lighting, automatic door controls, timers, and power sensors.

The cable outside diameter is only .56 inches which makes it very flexible and easy to roll up.

Ford Fiesta sedan for U.S. market gets minor changes

Ford is busy courting the youth population as potential buyers for the new Fiesta--it has brought 100 Fiesta five-doors over from Europe and loaned them to people for extended test drives. Meanwhile, engineers are putting the final touches on the Fiesta for the United States. Some of those changes are happening in the front and back, as seen on this prototype of the 2011 Fiesta sedan.

Chevrolet Volt, Sonic Super Bowl ads hit the Web

Chevrolet released its Super Bowl ads featuring the Volt with some intergalactic visitors and the Sonic with insects. In the Volt ad, despite the owner's best efforts to explain the concept of a gas/electric hybrid, the aliens are distracted and take an interest in the owner's wife when she comes out of the house. For the Sonic ad, titled “Joy,” for once bugs on the grille of a car isn't a bad thing.

Cadillac relaunches in Europe with new models for 2011

Cadillac is relaunching in the UK after a disastrous year in which its European importer went bust locking its entire stock in the hands of the liquidators. Now Cadillac is back – and it’s promising a wider range of more relevant cars than before. However, the appeal in the UK will be stymied by the admission that only two models – the CTS saloon and estate – will be engineered for right-hand drive.
