This is a Jaguar 6 cylinder timing gear bracket and sprocket assembly that is much more complete than most, even including adjustment mechanism. It also includes chains, but I always suggest fitting new chains. The raised number on the bracket is C4128/2C, but I could not find that in a parts book, think it may be a factory casting numberThe bracket numbers are the same in the XJ6 series III catalogue as for XKE, so I suspect this fits most 6o's through 87, but do not know, and have not checked Xk numbers.I do not know what year this came from...Any advice regarding Compatibility and identification  is appreciated, as my compatibility may not be correct. 2015 Ford S-Max revealed – debuts at 2014 Paris Motor Show

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

The new Ford S-Max debuts at Paris and goes on sale next summer The Ford S-Max Concept arrived at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year as Ford worked hard to prove they really did have new cars on the way, despite the huge delay in delivering the new Ford Mondeo to Europe – with which the new S-Max shares its underpinnings – and now we get the real deal – the 2015 Ford S-Max. Looking very like the S-Max Concept, the new S-Max is the same size as the outgoing model but gets an evolutionary redesign complete with Ford’s ‘Aston Martin’ grill and some funky headlights, with the A-Pillars further back, higher beltline, bigger shoulders at the back and a set of slim tail lights at the back separated by a chrome strip. It all conspires to make the new S-Max sportier and more appealing.

The federal government has national registries for historic buildings, boats, airplanes, railways--you name it. But not for cars. And the Historic Vehicle Association is trying to change that.

New Peugeot 308 (2014) revealed ahead of debut at 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show

Mon, 13 May 2013

The new Peugeot 308 - revealed this morning ahead of a debut at Frankfurt in September and an on sale date in the UK of January 2014 – moves the 308 further towards the sector leaders with a new car – built on PSA’s new EMP2 platform – that’s a bit shorter and a bit lower than the old 308, and looks a lot slicker. The nose of the new 308 is lower than before and it sports Peugeot’s new, more refined, grill with slime LED headlights and manages to look like a convincing big brother to the new 208, with elements borrowed from the Onyx Concept too with the back end sporting LEDs that create three ‘Lion Claws’ in their graphic (like the Jaguar XJ). Inside, Peugeot have created what they call an ‘i-cockpit’ layout with a big centre console featuring a 9.7″ touchscreen that takes the place of most of the buttons you used to get, allowing Peugeot to create a dash with a sleek and uncluttered feel and heads-up instruments.
