Schumacher's old F1 car sells for a bargain £195k
Fri, 09 Aug 2013When can you ever call a £195,000 classic Formula One car a bargain? When it was driven by the most successful F1 driver ever, Michael Schumacher. This Benetton-Ford B191 was due to go up for auction with Coys this Saturday 10 August at the Nurburgring, but the car has now been sold ahead of going under the hammer for just £195,000.

Wed, 12 Oct 2011Nissan has posted a second video of the Juke-R conversion on its Facebook and YouTube pages, highlighting the transfer of technology from the Nissan GT-R sports car to the Juke crossover. As you can imagine, it gets pretty complicated. In the video, Nissan engineers and managers talk about what it took to put the 485-hp V6 engine, all-wheel-drive system and all of its controllers into the Juke.

Tue, 07 Feb 2012Nine of the 12 Formula 1 teams have released images and details of their cars for the 2012 World Championship as the first day of pre-season testing draws to a close at the Jerez circuit in Spain. Motor sport may fall slightly outside of Car Design News' usual remit, but the big story this year is the new 'stepped nose', which all teams bar McLaren have introduced to comply with new safety regulations, much to the chagrin of aestheticists. And with designers such as Daniel Simon (he produced the livery for HRT last season) and Peter Stevens (most notable for the Brabham cars of the 1980s) involved with the sport over the years, it's always interesting to check out the season's new machines.
