Jaguar Xj6 Series Ii Or Iii Water Catch Pan In Trunk Or Boot, Below Rear Window on 2040-parts.com

Do you have water draining into your trunk or boot?You probably need this. This is the little known water drain pan that fits below the rear backlight glass of Jaguar XJ6, XJ12. Factory parts book shows it for series II, but could not find it in series III book. not sure if it was used in series III; my compatibility may Not be correct. Jaguar engineers probably realized the rear glass seal would dry out,causing water entry;so designed this catch pan which fits under the back glass, forward of the trunk lid, it has drain tubes on each side.These are good; but usually they become clogged and rusted, and water pours into the trunk. It is a rare part, though every car had one; no one saves them. It bolts in; so is Not part of the body.IMPORTANT. This is good with good drain tubes,EXCEPT  it has one small hole that needs welding; a very small job. See photos..Please contact me. ..
