British artist Damien Hirst has helped Audi produce this art car: an Audi A1, which sold for €420,000 (£350,000) at a charity raffle. The Audi A1 Damien Hurst was shown at pop star Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball and the money raised goes to his AIDS foundation. ‘That’s the most exciting object we’ve ever had on auction at the White Tie,’ said Sir Elton.

2014 Performance Car Show Ready For Action

BRITAIN’S Best Driver’s Cars will take to the Live Action Arena at the Performance Car Show, running alongside Autosport International at Birmingham’s NEC from 9-12 January. Led by supercars such as the 468bhp Porsche 911 GT3 and the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S, ten cars will parade through the 5,000-seat Live Action Arena. Also assembling in the arena will be the Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG, featuring the most powerful four-cylinder engine in production, as well as the Toyota GT86, Jaguar F-Type S, Porsche Cayman S and Ford Fiesta ST Mountune.

-- Louis Chevrolet -- along with brothers Gaston and Arthur -- were race-car pioneers long before Billy Durant ever made them into the Heartbeat of America. Louis was driving the No. 7 Frontenac when it caught fire at Sheepshead's Bay, Brooklyn, in September of 1919.
