Hi Jorge,

I finally made it back from Paris, and over the past weekend I saw all the Jaguar parts that you sent out. The quality is absolutely superb. My friend and I prefit everything, and the attention to detail is what I could only hope for. So, thank you, thank you.

As the work progresses, I'll stay in touch, and of course send pictures when done.

You are truly an artist and man of your word.

Dan

At 56, he's dressed for CES in khaki trousers and a leather vest, with thin glasses perched on a round face; his frizzy white hair resembles what Einstein's would if he were caught in a wind tunnel. He might be a long-distant uncle, or he might be Doc Brown, fresh from the DeLorean.

Aston Martin may build Maybachs for Daimler, reports say

Thu, 23 Dec 2010

Aston Martin is in talks with Daimler AG over a potential partnership that would see the British luxury carmaker design and build a new Maybach ultraluxury sedan for the German automaker, Europe press reports said. Aston Martin may take engine technology from Daimler in exchange for building Daimler's Maybach cars, the Financial Times said on Wednesday, citing people close to the situation. German automotive magazine Auto Zeitung said Daimler has already commissioned a mock-up of a new Maybach limousine that would use know-how and parts from Aston Martin.
