Vauxhall Insignia ecoFLEX announced
Mon, 20 Apr 2009Vauxhall has announced the launch of the Vauxhall Insignia ecoFLEX [ad#ad-1] A few days ago we revealed that Vauxhall had launched a range-topping Insignia – the Vauxhall Insignia VXR, a 325bhp road burner. Well, in these eco-friendly times, it seems appropriately balanced that Vauxhall has now announced the arrival of the Vauxhall Insignia ecoFLEX, to balance the Co2 and testosterone the VXR produces. The Insignia ecoFLEX, as you would guess, is all about economy and lower emissions.
Subaru shows off Viziv2 concept at Geneva Motor Show
Tue, 04 Mar 2014Subaru brought a new concept to the Geneva Motor Show this week, dubbed Viziv2. It's hard to ignore the somewhat alien-sounding name, and it stands for "vision for innovation." And it's the second Viziv concept, Subaru having debuted a similar concept car at last year's Geneva Motor Show. Like the concept that came before it, Viziv2 is meant to preview design language and technologies working their way into Subaru production cars, and we can already see a resemblance between the 2015 Subaru Legacy, as well as the recently-revealed WRX STI, and the concept vehicle that Subaru has brought to Geneva.
2012 Canadian Grand Prix Qualifying: Vettel takes pole
Sat, 09 Jun 2012Sebastian Vettel has taken Red Bull’s second pole position in a row with a stunning qualifying at the 2012 Canadian Grand Prix. Red Bull may have seemed a bit out of sorts so far in the 2012 F1 season, but Vettel’s pole at the Canadian Grand Prix on top of Mark Webber’s win at Monaco last time out may be an ominous sign for the rest of the grid. Vettel took his Red Bull round Montreal’s Circuit Gilles Villeneuve a full three tenths of a second ahead of second place Lewis Hamilton and moves Vettel up to fifth place in the all-time pole listings alongside Nigel Mansell – and his career still has a long way to go to overhaul Schumacher, Senna, Clark and Prost.
