This is for a fresh restoration and rebuilt set of H6 SU
carburetors for the '51-’54 Jaguar XK 120.The shafts are new and have no lateral movement. The
throttle discs, metering needles, float needles and seats, and all seals were replaced.
Metering needles are WO2. Float bowls are AUC1208. Piston springs
are yellow and the pistons drop at the same rate. No abrasives were used on the
internal air chambers to maintain the close tolerance of the piston and air
chamber. The butterflies close the bores 99%. All mounting flanges have been
surfaced and are flat for a tight seal. This set of carbs is in A1 condition
and will perform as new at half the cost. They have been adjusted for pre-start
up and fine adjustment will be required after warm up. The air chambers have
been polished and the set shows very well. The external surfaces of the carb
bodies, float bowls and covers have been glass bead blasted and clear coated
for a lasting appearance. A twenty four hour static leak check of float bowl,
jet seals, gland nut seal and floats was performed. All hardware has been
