Jaguar Xke Brake Master Cyinder S1 (4.2), S2 & S3 Nr on 2040-parts.com
Agoura Hills, California, US
This Lockheed brake master cylinder fits the Series 1 (4.2), Series 2 & Series 3 Jaguar XKE's. It may also fit other British cars of the period, you will need to research. The master cylinder has been cleaned inside and out and the outside sprayed with a light coat of Rustoleum Clear to prevent surface rust. It has been sleeved with brass and the condition of all the old parts is obvious, ie good. All parts are included, none are missing. The lower piston and seal in the front end of the master cylinder have not yet been removed from the body. It is otherwise completely dismantled. All parts shown are included along with a NOS Lockheed Master Cylinder Rebuilding kit. A NOS kit like this will cost $35 - $50 if you can find one. There is a small crack highlighted with a black marker in pic #3. Fortunately, the crack does not extend to any stressed area or any area which is in contact with the piston or seals and is completely inconsequential, but I wanted to point it out. Dismantling and reassembly instructions are included, but not pictured. If you have purchased a new or rebuilt master recently, you realize what a deal this is.
