Listed for a Jaguar XKE or E type, is an original engine crankshaft from a 4.2 litre engine. Crank is in really nice condition with standard rods and 0.010 mains. Shaft has been checked for cracks and wobble. Both main, rod, and thrust journals are all in very nice undamaged unscored, condition. All 6 gallery oil plugs have been removed with the crankshaft having been hot cabinet power washed and the oil gallery's cleaned with a brush. Numbers are pictured  Item was removed from a 1966 4.2L XKE and is a true e type crank with the journals cross drilled. We will warranty the crnk for 30 days from date of delivery against cracks or defects.  Shipping will be $64.50 to 94.50 in the USA. Local pic up is welcomed. There will be a $25.00 crate and packing fee. We will ship internaitional.

Drink Driving rules get tougher

There’s been talk for some time that the government are planning to reduce the current drink driving limit, but, sensibly, it seems they’ve decided, at least for now, that there’s little to be gained by shooting drivers for having a rum baba for desert. Instead, the rules are to be toughened up to make persistent drink drivers jump through more hoops before they can get their licence back. No longer will it be enough to simply get to the end of their ban, they’ll have to prove they are no longer reliant on alcohol and pass a medical.

The Audi A1 will be positioned slap bang against BMW’s burgeoning Mini family when UK sales begin in autumn 2010, priced from around £11,000. The new A1 three-door hatch will be unveiled first at the 2010 Geneva motor show, with continental sales kicking off next summer.

College Exhibition: CCS - American Iron and Steel Institute project 2006

Students from Detroit's College for Creative Studies and University of Michigan have unveiled the results of the 18th annual American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) summer automotive design internship. Three engineering students joined three transportation design students to produce concept vehicles that targeted either Generation X, Baby Boomers and the Millennial generation. The concept vehicles embody leading-edge steel technology utilizing a flexible platform.
