Jaguar Xke (e-type) Wheels & Tires on 2040-parts.com

Location:

Monterey, California, United States

Monterey, California, United States
Condition:Used

For sale is a set of used Jaguar XKE (E-Type) wheels & tires; they came off an E-Type I recently restored, but I bought Dunlop-type Alloy D-Type rims for the restored car, and new tires of course.  3 of the tires match (shown in photo #3); the others do not.  Tread is not bad, especially on the 3 best tires. The bidding is really for the tires; the chromed (but rusty) wire wheels would have to be rebuilt, so I'm including them in "for free".  Pick up in Monterey, CA for free, but shipping would have to be the responsibility of the buyer, at his/her expense.  The starting bid price is for all 6 wheels & tires.  I need the space. If no one wants them they'll go to the local used tire dealer, who will most likely discard the wheels.  I will not have the tires dismounted for shipping, unless the buyer agrees to pay for it thru the local tire shop.

Bentley Continental Estate – Carrazzeria to make a Bentley Shooting Brake

Wed, 10 Feb 2010

The Bentley Continental Shooting Brake by Carrozzeria A week or two back we got the sniff that Italian Coachbuilders Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera where planning on building a limited run car based on the Bentley Continental. The rumours were vague – even from Carrozzeria who simply stated “Inspired by the success and the extraordinary characteristics of Bentley automobiles, Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera of Milan, with the support of Bentley Motors Limited, developed and built a fascinating new coach built Bentley, faithful to its long tradition of Italian coach building.” Which told us not a whole lot. But we now know that what Carrazzeria are planning is a Bentley Continental Shooting Brake – effectively a Bentley Continental GT Estate.

Infiniti at the Paris motor show 2008

Thu, 02 Oct 2008

By Ben Pulman Motor Shows 02 October 2008 09:35 Infiniti kicked off its Mondial de l'Automobile on the eve of the show by opening its Parisian dealership, the brand's first showroom in Western Europe. Sales started in Russia in 2006, but this was our first taste of how Nissan is going to scale Fortress Premium.  On the Avenue de Versailles, in an understated (and perhaps – whisper it – sterile bland) showroom and slap-bang next to a BMW dealer, executive vice president of Nissan Carlos Tavares outlined Infiniti’s ambitious expansion plans and confirmed new models for Europe. The range starts with the G37, which comes as a 3-series rival in saloon and coupe form, and our first drive of the latter confirmed it as a credible BMW rival.

CAR reader Lokinen remembers going eight up in a Woody

Wed, 23 Sep 2009

By Lokinen Motoring Issues 23 September 2009 17:35 When dad's old farina Morris Oxford could be bodged through an MOT no more, he returned home one day with an Old English White 'Woody' Mini Traveller. Trouble was, there were four of us kids, aged from six to 11. On shopping nights we'd sit four abreast on the rear seat, at other times I'd choose the rear compartment and a couple of pillows.
