Benton, Arkansas, United States
Condition:Used

Complete rear hatch lock mechanism assembly for a Jaguar E-type fixed head coupe. The donor car for this part was a 1964 coupe. My understanding is that this part is correct for all series 1 SWB coupes, but is not the same as originally supplied on Series 1 2+2 cars or on Series 2 and 3 models. This assembly was completely disassembled, media blasted, and freshly re-plated prior to reassembly. It functions as it should and is ready for installation. Reproductions of this early latch assembly are not available to my knowledge, so a nice original part like this one may be your best option.

Hyundai i30

Thu, 11 Aug 2011

Hyundai has released the first rendering of the next generation i30 set to be officially revealed at the Frankfurt motor show next month. Designed in the Korean automaker's European Design Center in Rüsselsheim, Germany, under the direction of Chief Designer Thomas Buerkle, the new C-segment hatchback is an evolution of Hyundai's ‘fluidic sculpture' design language, initiated on the HED-6 ix-onic concept shown at the 2009 Geneva motor show. "When designing the new i30, we used strong, fluid lines to sculpt a car which looks athletic while exuding a sense of constant motion," said Buerkle.

Aspid Cars teases sports car to join open-wheeler

Tue, 29 May 2012

Spanish automaker Aspid Cars informed us last Tuesday that it will be unveiling a sports car to complement its open-wheel track car. The company didn't tell us much aside from saying that the car will be bigger than its first car, that it will be extremely lightweight and that it will offer multiple powertrain options, including a V8 and a KERS-like hybrid system. The company also made sure to note that its name is no longer IFR Aspid.
