Jaguar XKR 2007 2014 Weathershield HP All Weather protection car cover by Covercraft.

WeatherShield's Key Features and Benefits
  • Dramatic Rain Dispersion - Fabric sheds water as soon as it hits the cover.
  • Superior Dry Time - Because the fabric sheds moisture, just shake the cover and it dries in minutes (HD fabric is heavier and requires additional drying time).
  • Breathable - Allows any heat, moisture or condensation under the cover to easily escape.
  • UV Resistant - Special additives to the encapsulation formula reduce fabric UV degradation.
  • Superior Paint Finish Protection - Silicone polymers used in the encapsulation formula help create a silky-smooth finish that's even less abrasive than flannel (HD uses heavier denier thread which is not as smooth).
  • Packs Small - Cover packs into roughly 1/3 the volume of multi-layer fabric covers (HD covers are bulkier).
  • Easy Care - Wash and dry at home... most mid-size covers will fit in home washers and dryers - and, unlike non-woven materials, they can be thrown in a dryer.
  • Durable Fade-Resistant Fabric Finish - Premium automotive-grade fabric color dyes are more fade resistant and hold their color longer.
Why WeatherShield?
Over 20 years ago Covercraft partnered with Nextec Applications, Inc., a technology leader that pioneered a new process for creating performance fabrics used primarily in the outdoor clothing industry. By using precise polymer placement and special chemistries, they were able to place protective finishes inside the fabric, encapsulating the actual woven fibers to transform ordinary fabric into extra-ordinary! The encapsulation processes, methods and equipment are protected by more than 51 patents issued or pending in the U.S. and internationally.

Vauxhall Astra VXR EXTREME heading for Geneva as the quickest Astra yet

Thu, 30 Jan 2014

The Vauxhall Astra VXR EXTREME (pictured) is heading for a Geneva debut. The VXR range of Vauxhall’s – the sportiest of Vauxhall’s car range – is ten years old this year, so what better way to celebrate than with an even more extreme version of the Astra VXR. Vauxhall obviously agree as they’ve revealed the Vauxhall Astra VXR EXTREME as the new top of the range Astra VXR and it’s heading for a debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March before going in to limited production.

Toyota and Mercedes-Benz are top global car brands

Sun, 23 Oct 2011

Toyota & Mercedes-Benz are the Top Global Automotive Brands 2011 Interbrand, a branding consultancy, delivers a report on the world’s brands every year, and in 2011, despite recall woes and the devastation of the Japanese Tsunami, Toyota leads the automotive brands, with luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz just behind. Interbrand uses three measures to gauge how effective a brand is – performance of branded product, the brands ability to secure earnings and the role of the brand in purchasing decisions – to come up with a chart of the top 100 world brands. At the top of the tree are companies like Coca Cola, IBM, Microsoft and Google, but car brands do well with Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Honda, VW, and Ford all making it in to the top 50.
