Ex-Morgan Chief Designer forms Matthew Humphries Design
Thu, 20 Sep 2012The former chief designer at Morgan, has formed his own design consultancy, Matthew Humphries Design, in a bid to branch out into the worlds of bespoke cars and product design. Humphries will continue his relationship with Morgan in a partnership that will see the newly formed company help to develop future models for the independent British sports car manufacturer. The 28-year-old Coventry University graduate believes he can begin moving into the growing market for integrating automotive design elements into product design – such as furniture – and particularly British-themed products.

Thu, 06 Jan 2011Ferrari 612 Shooting Brake Spy shot Last week we ran a story about the replacement for Ferrari’s four-seat supercar, the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. The basic premise was that Ferrari would be bringing the replacement for the 612 Scaglietti to the Geneva Motor Show in March, and that it would feature a new, 650bhp V12 engine, and 4×4 platform and be a Shooting Brake. All of which was a cobbling together from bits of information we’ve received when we started to dig around for information after Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo recently said there will be a “very different Ferrari” at Geneva.
Ferrari releases teaser image of Enzo successor
Fri, 14 Dec 2012Update: Ferrari has released a new image of the Enzo successor's rear, which we've attached above. Of the 288 GT0, F40, F50, Enzo and its upcoming successor, Ferrari Technical Director Roberto Fedeli says, “Let's refer to them as our 'specials.' " That works for us. In a day and age when a Porsche Boxster S delivers performance on a par with yesterday's supercars, that particular appellation seems to have lost much in the way of meaning.
