Ford says optional EcoBoost V6 engine popular with F-150 buyers

Sales of Ford F-150 pickups with the optional EcoBoost 3.5-liter V6 engine have surpassed company estimates, with some dealers reporting robust demand as gasoline prices rise. "We had a sales forecast but it has jumped up a little faster than we thought," said Marc Lapine, consumer marketing manager for Ford Motor Co. Credit the increase to rising fuel prices.

VW Golf R Launched

The Volkswagen Golf R has launched at Frankfurt Update 31/10/09: VW Golf R UK Detail now released. We reported yesterday on much of the detail on the new Golf R, but the Golf is such a big deal for so many that we thought we ought to re-iterate, throw in a few pictures of the Golf R on the floor at Frankfurt and re-cap on the goodies on offer. Renault R-Space concept

Following on from the DeZir and Captur, the R-Space took to the stage at Geneva alongside the Twizy and Zoe to complete a healthy concept car showing from Renault.  An upbeat, funky vision of the MPV segment sees the R-Space omit B-pillars in favor of a frameless suicide door set up. This allows uninterrupted access to the interior, which is the main focal point of the concept. Seemingly split into two sections, the rear has been designed with children in mind and features a bevy of motorized cubes that can alter the seating arrangement for child, adult or even baby seats.
