Revealed this morning, the DS Wild Rubis Concept is a proper full-size SUV from the French car maker which, we assume, is being targeted primarily at China. Citroen’s history in recent years with full size cars has been poor, with no one but the French themselves buying them in any sort of reasonable numbers. But with the car buyer’s passion for SUVs – even full sized ones – we could see Citroen deciding to put the Wild Rubis on sale in Europe if the feedback is positive.

Renault is working on a 141mpg plug-in hybrid concept car, according to Renault head of research, advanced studies and materials, Remi Bastien. Speaking to MSN Cars at Renault’s recent ‘Innovations’ event – showcasing the French manufacturer’s new technology that will underpin its next-generation models – Bastien revealed the new car will make its debut in 2014. MG6 BTCC Edition celebrates MG going racing

MG has revealed a special edition of the MG6 – the MG6 BTCC Edition – to celebrate a return to BTCC racing. MG doesn’t exactly have a plethora of models to offer car buyers, but its’ making the most of its inherited heritage by taking the MG6 in to the British Touring Car Championship, and to celebrate it’s launched a new model to cast a sporty glow back on the marque. The MG6 BTCc Edition gets a 1.8 litre turbo petrol offering 158bhp, not enough to win a BTCC race but enough to get the road car to 62mph in 8.4 seconds and on to a slightly asthmatic 120mph.
