CDN-Opel/Vauxhall Interactive Design competition winner announced

Vladislav Domanin is the overall winner of the CDN-Opel/Vauxhall Interactive Design competition. The announcement was made by Friedhelm Engler, Director GME Advanced Design, during the second day press day of the Paris motor show on the Opel/Vauxhall stand. Mateusz Wowk from the Academy of Art of Design in Wroclaw was this year's runner-up in the exterior category, while Matic Vihtelic of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Ljubljana, was declared runner-up in the interior category.

The new MINI Crossman caught testing at the Nurburgring [ad#ad-1] Yes, the MINI has become ubiquitous ( to its detriment), and sales have fallen off, despite the plethora of variations on the market. But that’s not stopped BMW from pushing on with the MINI Crossman, which has been spotted testing at the Nurburgring this week. But, although I’ve moaned that MINI has lost its way of late, this particular MINI, odd though it may sound in concept, could be a real winner.

Ford unveiled the Start concept at Auto China last week. Designed at Ford's California-based Strategic Concept Group under the direction of Freeman Thomas, the concept demonstrates that a compact car can also be pragmatic and functional. "I'm an enthusiast of minimalism but it should not be cold," Thomas said of the design when we met him in Beijing.
