The Problem: Speedometer Inaccuracies

We all know that wheel/tire size, engine swaps, and gearing changes result in a real problem...you're heading down the road at 60mph and your speedo is reading 20-40% off, and you have a vehicle with an ECU that cannot easily be "flashed" to correct speedometer error or if it CAN be flashed it won't correct a large enough range for your needs. So you have learned to just do the math in your head (Or for Jeep owners, maybe you're thinking about spending $45-90 in parts every time you want to put in a new gear. Check out this article on JeepsUnlimited.com about what they found.)

Maybe you've come across a speedometer correction device that sounds like it will fix your problem. But it has daunting installation instructions, makes you flip switches or turn screws and count turns to be sure you're doing it right, or requires you to reprogram it every time you switch from winter to summer tires and back, or re-flash your ECU every time you're going to have your car in to the dealer for servicing (which includes them using the diagnostics function).

The SpeedoHealer® by HealTech Electronics (exclusively imported by Blue Monkey Motorsports, Inc) is a clear and simple solution. For Jeep TJ (98-06), LJ ('04-'06), and XJ (98-01) or Honda/Acura Civic (92-04), Accord (90-97), Prelude (93-01) and Integra (94-97) installation is plug-and-play with FACTORY OEM CONNECTORS (for highest water protection rating). For all other vehicles with 3-wire speed sensors (signal, power, ground) the Universal kit is simple and easy to install for average guys with basic skills, and takes about 45 minutes. And for behind-the-dash direct installations, the Controller-Only kit is the simplest solution. Locate the speed signal and then run power and ground to this unit, and you're done! (Install time varies)

Easy to install...easy to program...durable...reliable...and backed by outstanding support and warranty!

NOTE: Take great care not to compromise the functionality or effectiveness of the ABS sensor system when installing any speedometer correction device. If unsure, we recommend you have a certified mechanic install this unit.

Chrysler reveals new 2014 Jeep Cherokee

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

Chrysler Group revealed photographs and the name of its replacement for the Jeep Liberty on Friday after unofficial photographs of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee showed up earlier in the day. The automaker had hoped to keep the mid-size SUV -- and its name -- secret until a planned reveal at the New York auto show in late March. However, photos of several 2014 Cherokees taken during pre-production at Chrysler's Toledo North Assembly plant were unveiled Friday morning on the site Jalopnik.com.

Nissan Invitation concept

Nissan has released the first images of its new B-segment concept car, the Invitation. Set to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor show next month, the car previews a new model that will sit between the Micra and Juke as the company returns to the traditional hatchback market. The Invitation's DRG features a wide grille with a chrome accent that extends into the lamps, reminiscent of the Quest MPV.

No Ferrari Viper, Dodge brand chief says

Wed, 25 Nov 2009

Despite allusions to cooperation on the Viper with Chrysler's new Italian owners, there will be no Viper Ferrari. Hey, it was a natural question, especially since Dodge opened that door in a press release on Tuesday about a lap record set by a production Viper ACR at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca (1:33.915; more on that in a minute). "When we have partners across the ocean who are known as the best sports-car makers in the world, the future opportunities are huge," Dodge brand chief Ralph Gilles said in a release.
