Here is a complete grille isolation mount kit for Jeep CJ's and YJ's. These have been discontinued from Jeep for a few years now. I have spent a considerable amount of time researching and sourcing the proper components to be able to offer a complete grille mount in the original rubber, not polyurethane! Any of the replacement rubber body mount kits you buy for your Jeep CJ or YJ Wrangler do not come with the grille mount. If you are restoring your Jeep and using the rubber mount kit you will definitely need this!
This grille mount fits all Jeep CJ's 1972-1986. CJ5's, CJ7's and CJ8 Scramblers. It also fits 1987-1995 Jeep YJ Wranglers. You will receive what is pictured: Rubber bushing kit which is one rubber washer with lip to go thru frame mount and one washer without lip, 2 1/4" diameter washer with attached 1" spacer to properly space the rubber bushings, One 2 1/4" diameter flat washer which goes on the bottom of the mount, and two optional 2" flat washers depending on if your grille needs to be shimmed up or not. This goes between the grille and the grille mount. Finally a Grade 8 bolt 7/16-14x2 1/2" with flanged washer.
The assembled picture shows the order in which the pieces go together. From the bottom of your grille it goes as follows: Two shim washers (optional), 2 1/4" washer with attached sleeve, rubber bushing with lip, Jeep Frame, rubber bushing without lip, 2 1/4" flat washer, and the bolt goes in from the bottom, thru all the components and threads into your Jeep CJ grille.
Originally I was sending three of the 2 1/4" washers in the kit, but after disassembling an original 1985 CJ-7 that had never been apart before, and also getting confirmation from another gentleman with a 1984 CJ-7, I found that AMC assembled our Jeeps with the 2" shim washers when they were new.
The steel hardware comes in a plain finish.
